More than just a place to plan your lessons, the Base Teacher Planner is a complete planning system designed to help you organise your time, reduce overwhelm, and bring all the moving parts of school life together in one place.

Created by a high school teacher with over a decade of experience in Australian classrooms, every page has been designed with purpose. No unnecessary extras or fluff; just practical tools and layouts that help you stay on top of everything the year throws at you.

This year’s Analogue cover design is a playful, nostalgic collaboration with Gold Coast-based artist Barry Patenaude. Known for his signature vibrant style and idiosyncratic Australian humour, Barry's design focuses on all the things you don't need a screen for.

    • STEP 2

Relocate the term tab page page to exactly where you want it in the planner.

    Base Features

    •

      Moveable term tabs

No more making do with term tabs that don't align with your school's term dates.

Our Base Planner is designed to suit you! Customise your planner to suit your school's unique term dates. Simply remove the term page and reinsert it where you need it.

      How they work
    •

      Weekly meeting minutes

No more scrolling to the back of your planner or hunting through separate notebooks.

Stay organised with our weekly meeting minutes. You can use this page for staff meetings, parent meetings, student conferences or phone calls.

Why you should take minutes in meetings
    • Weekly notes

After each week, you'll also find an entire lined page to use how you need it.

Think overflow notes, brain-dumping, planning the week ahead, or just doodling.

    •

      Distraction-free weekly layout

No motivational quotes, stickers or other unnecessary fluff = more space for planning and to-do listing!

Our weekly layout features space for 7 lessons OR 6 lessons plus home room/whole-day events/meetings.

Plus pre-lined spaces for meetings & yard duties throughout the entire day - not just before and after school.

      Why we don't include stickers
    •

      Durable, water-resistant hard cover

Our hard cover is built with premium book board for strength, & is finished in a soft-touch matte laminate that resists spills & scuffs. It’s easy to clean with a soft cloth & a little disinfectant - perfect for shared (*ahem* gross) spaces.

It's also finished with a gold debossed 2027 & Base logo for a premium touch.

      How to clean your cover
    • Strong wire coil & bookmark ribbon

Strong & smooth to flip through, our electroplated wire coil is built to withstand daily use without bending or catching. This year, it's in a gold finish.

There's also no need to buy a separate bookmark, because the Base planner comes with an in-built bookmark ribbon. It's made in a thick, ribbed fabric making it durable, polished, & even easier to use.

    • Protective metal corners & elastic closure

Designed for durability. The gold metal corners prevent bent edges & keep your planner looking sharp all year.

The strong elastic closure keeps everything secure which means no loose pages and no surprises in your bag.

    •

      Flexible term planning

No more motivational quotes taking up an entire page.

Our unique term tab design means you have an entire page of unlined space for brainstorming & planning PLUS an entire page of structured weekly planning.

Create your own term calendar to stay on top of important events & dates.

How to get organised with a planner
    • 140GSM+ Bleed-Proof Paper

Thick, smooth, and made to last. Our 140GSM paper is bleed-proof, so you can use pens & highlighters with confidence.

Our term tab pages are 160GSM to make them even more durable. No feathering and no bleed-through; just clean, crisp pages from cover to cover.

    •

      A design that stands out

You won't find any love hearts, stars, inspirational text or generic floral patterns on our front cover.

This custom cover illustration has been brought to life by Gold Coast-based illustrator, Barry Patenaude.

Build systems & routines that reduce overwhelm & help you teach at your best.

    Changes we've made for 2027

    • Updated yearly planner with pre-shaded weekends & months

    • Slightly wider borders for a more comfortable writing experience
    • Slightly larger headings

Aimee's guide to making your planner work for you (all year 'round!)

A planner is only useful when it becomes part of your system. To make sure you actually use your planner all year, i’s not about creating the perfect planner spread or filling in every page; it’s about having a reliable place to capture the many moving parts of teaching.

Here’s how I use my Base Planner:

    Start big and work backwards.
Map your year, then your term, then your week and day. At the start of each term, add everything that’s already locked in: classes, duties, meetings, professional learning and key dates.

Make it part of your routine.
My planner lives on my desk and comes with me everywhere. Meeting? Planner. Class? Planner. Need to remember something? Planner. The more you use it, the more useful it becomes.

Use it alongside your digital systems.
Your planner doesn’t need to replace everything. I keep detailed curriculum mapping and resources online, while my Base Planner helps me manage my priorities, reminders, key dates and the everyday admin that can easily get lost.

The goal isn’t to plan every minute. It’s to create a system that helps you feel organised and prepared throughout the year.

    FAQs

Will the term tab dividers align with my school's term dates?

    Yes!

One of our priorities when designing this planner was that it needed to be flexible to suit the needs of teachers all around Australia.

The term tab pages are moveable within the planner which means you can insert them to suit your school's term dates. How good!

How do the moveable term tabs work?

The term tab pages are reinforced and sliced along the binding which means the pages can be removed and relocated within the planner.

The reinforcing along the binding prevents the pages from ripping when you remove them, and you can push them back into the binding at any point throughout the planner.

Is this planner suitable for all year levels and subjects?

    Absolutely!

Our planners were crafted with the needs of high school teachers in mind, but their versatile design makes them equally suitable for primary school, early childhood educators or even university lecturers or private tutors.

Whether you're guiding students through complex subjects in high school, laying the foundation for lifelong learning in early childhood, or working one-on-one with students, our planner provides the organisational tools and flexibility to support your unique teaching journey at any year level.

    Does this planner have weekends?

No, our planners do not include space specifically designated for planning the weekend.

We've made a deliberate decision to prioritise ample space for your to-do lists to help you stay organised and focused on your daily tasks throughout the week. Your feedback via our customer surveys also supports this decision.

However, we understand that some of you may still want to jot down weekend plans or notes. That's why we've included a blank space underneath the to-do list section, allowing for flexibility and customisation to suit your individual needs. This space provides the perfect opportunity to add any additional notes, reminders, or weekend plans as desired.

    Are your planners sustainable?

Our planners are made with FSC-certified paper which ensures it's from responsibly managed forests that meet strict environmental, social, and economic standards.

We've also partnered with an ISO 14001-certified manufacturer, ensuring our products are made with environmentally responsible practices for a sustainable future.

    Where are your products made?

Our products are proudly designed right here in Melbourne, however, to bring our vision to life, our products are manufactured in China. Despite our efforts to manufacture locally, our unique moveable term pages necessitated production overseas.

We have a close relationship with our wonderful manufacturer, and are proud to partner with such a professional and high-quality company.

Our manufacturer is ISO-certified, which means that it upholds rigorous quality standards and uses FSC-certified materials for sustainability.

We conduct quality checks from our headquarters in Australia. Plus, we stay closely involved in the manufacturing process to guarantee that every planner lives up to our high standards.

How many notes pages are there?
    • 4 lined planning pages at the front of the planner.
    • 1 unlined page at the start of every term (great for brainstorming/class layout planning)
    • 1 lined notes page after every week throughout the planner
    • 8 note pages at the back of the planner
