For the minimalists
Shop terracotta theoryEach year, Base has a new feature colour, and for 2027, we've chosen this rich, spicy brown which our community has aptly named 'Terracotta Theory'.
It's minimal without being boring, and is for those who want a simple but effective planner.

Meet the teacher behind Base
Hi, I'm Aimee, the teacher behind Base Planners! I’m in my twelfth year of teaching, and I'm currently teaching Year 11 and 12 English in Melbourne.
If I'm not teaching, marking (!!) or working behind the scenes on Base, you'll find me walking my sausage dog Teddy, checking out local wine bars, or burying my head in a good book.
I'm still in the classroom today, and I know exactly how challenging it can be to stay on top of everything this busy job throws at you.
For me, the Base Planner is more than just a planner; it’s the system I rely on to stay organised, sane, and in the right place at the right time. I’d be genuinely lost without it.
After sell-out launches in 2025 and 2026, it turns out so many of you were looking for the same thing I was: a teacher planner that’s practical, flexible and made for real teaching life. No fluff, no stickers, and absolutely no motivational quotes; just really practical features to get you through each day, week and term.

Meet Our 2027 Cover Artist: Barry Patenaude
Continuing our tradition of partnering with incredible local artists, this year, we’re proud to team up with Gold Coast-based illustrator, Barry Patenaude.
You may have seen some of his work on billboards, beer cans, sports competition posters, and local businesses. He also recently illustrated a children's book called STANLEY The Brush Turkey which was written by Louise Zirbel and Rachel Salmon.
Barry's known for his signature vibrant style and idiosyncratic Australian humour, and was eager to produce a unique cover design for Base that would stand out as an artwork in its own right.
